Abstract Multimedia information usage is increasing with new technologies such as the Internet of things (IoT), cloud computing, and big data processing. Video one most widely used types multimedia. Videos are played transmitted over different networks in many IoT applications. Consequently, securing videos during transmission various necessary to prevent unauthorized access video's content. The existing schemes have limitations terms high resource consumption processing time, which not liable devices limited resources processor size, memory, power consumption. This paper proposed a encryption scheme for colored videos. video frames extracted, then, frame components (red, green, blue) separated padded by zero. Then, every component (channel) split into blocks sizes. scrambled obtained applying zigzag scan, rotating blocks, randomly changing blocks' arrangements. Finally, secret key produced from chaotic logistic map encrypt component. Security analysis time complexity evaluate efficiency encrypting results reveal that has high-level security efficiency. comparison between performed. confirmed additional
